Charlotte's story
Looking for something more secure
Charlotte and her husband already had experience running a successful business in the education sector. However, like many business owners, the challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic and Brexit made them rethink their future and consider creating a second business that offered greater stability.
Rather than starting another business completely from scratch, Charlotte wanted a proven model that would allow her to launch quickly while still giving her the freedom of being her own boss.
Why franchising made sense
Having already experienced the highs and lows of running an independent business, Charlotte understood just how valuable support can be.
For her, franchising offered the best of both worlds: the independence of owning a business, combined with an established brand, proven systems, comprehensive training and an experienced support network.
Instead of facing every challenge alone, she could benefit from the experience of a whole network of franchisees and a dedicated head office team.
“Being in business on your own can sometimes be lonely and intimidating. It's reassuring to know there are other franchisees going through the same journey.”

Choosing We Love Pets
Charlotte explored several franchise opportunities before making her decision.
What immediately stood out about We Love Pets was its commitment to animal welfare. The No Pack Walking Policy perfectly aligned with her own beliefs about how dogs should be cared for.
She also recognised the genuine passion the business had for pets, its professional standards, and the extensive training and ongoing support available to franchisees.
Those values made the decision an easy one.
Building a business with purpose
Today, Charlotte has built a successful We Love Pets business in Stevenage, providing trusted pet care services to local pet owners while continuing to grow her team.
For Charlotte, the business is about far more than walking dogs - it's about delivering exceptional care, creating local employment opportunities and building a business she can be proud of.
A business that continues to grow
Charlotte and her husband Tim's journey shows that a We Love Pets franchise doesn't have to remain a one-person business.
By building a strong reputation, employing a fantastic local team and following the proven systems and support available, they've grown their business to a stage where it provides a full-time livelihood for them both.
Their investment in a second territory demonstrates the confidence they have in the business model and the opportunities that exist for ambitious franchisees looking to expand.
Charlotte's advice
If you're thinking about becoming your own boss, Charlotte believes having the right support around you makes all the difference.
Choosing a franchise gave her the confidence to launch quickly without having to build everything from scratch, allowing her to focus on growing a successful business while doing something she genuinely enjoys.
