Where your £12,995 goes
Not into a shiny logo and a fancy dog lead. Your fee buys the foundations, systems and support we've refined over 19 years, so you start with a head start rather than a blank sheet.
01 Exclusive territory
A protected local market mapped around demographics, household density and opportunity. No other We Love Pets branch can trade on your patch.

Business training and animal care training before you open, including the Level 2 Canine Care Award and the We Love Pets Certification™ in Dog Care, Cat Care and Small Animal Care, plus free, unlimited online training with our sister company, Animal Ed.
03 Launch and marketing
Your online presence, Google Business Profile set-up and optimisation, launch campaigns, brand assets and lead generation support, so customers can find you from the day you open.

115+ franchisees who have already faced the questions you're about to ask, and are happy to share what they learned.
Your 10% management fee
What you get every month
The management fee is what keeps the support coming long after launch. In return for 10% of your turnover, you keep getting:
- Regular support calls in your first year, and Business Reviews and Planning to plan your growth
- Buddies and mentors who have run their own branches
- Your own CPD programme, plus free, unlimited online training with our sister company, Animal Ed
- Marketing and lead generation, backed by more than 50,000 boarding enquiries a year across the network
- 24/7 veterinary advice, plus access to a 24/7 HR and health and safety support line at massively discounted rates
- A resource and support hub of policies, contract templates, terms and conditions and insurance details
- The franchisee community: WhatsApp group, PawTal portal, webinars and the annual conference
- High-potential programmes if you want to grow beyond the VAT threshold
Funding
Don't have £12,995 sitting in a drawer?
You may not need to. We Love Pets is pre-approved for a government-backed Start Up Loan, so eligible applicants may be able to fund the franchise fee, and potentially working capital too. Many franchisees also use savings or a redundancy payment.
The funding can also grow with you: there is the option to draw down more later on if you choose to invest further in your business.
The sensible question isn't only how to pay the fee. It's also how much working capital you'll need while you build your customer base, and we'll help you plan that realistically before you commit to anything.

What can I earn?
Every business is different, and anyone who promises you a particular income before they know your territory, your hours and your plans isn't being straight with you. What we can show you is what franchisees across the network are achieving.

Some real examples
- Deb, Hereford: after 28 years in business banking with Lloyds, Deb now turns over £8,391 a month with a hand-picked team who share her love of animals.
- Gabby and Dave, Cambridge: a former senior project manager and a 37-year veteran of the railway industry, the couple now turn over between £8,000 and £9,000 a month.
- Michelle, Hackney: Michelle launched her Hackney branch in June 2026 after a career in television, and was turning over £4,000 a month by her third month.
- Tina, North Somerset: Tina started recruiting the day she opened, with her daughter Jennifer as her first member of staff, and turned over £70,000 in her first 12 months.
The best way to understand what's realistic for you is to ask existing franchisees how long it took them to build their client base. We'll introduce you, and we don't sit in on those calls.
Turnover is business revenue, not salary or profit. Individual results vary by territory, services, demand, staffing and the work put into growing the business. Figures correct at time of publication, October 2026. They are not a projection or guarantee of what any other franchisee will achieve.
